Daniel Self was raised in the Redstone, Co before deciding to leave for college in the South. Through his 15 years in Texas and Georgia he picked up a love for the Georgia Bulldogs but refused to pick up an accent. Daniel moved back to the Roaring Fork Valley and met his wife, Amy, a Virginia girl living in Aspen. They currently reside in Carbondale and have a son named, Eli and daughter Selah.
Daniel loves to challenge and inspire the faith of others and firmly believes in two things: that there is no greater calling than being a follower of Jesus and that there is no greater football team than that of the Denver Broncos. He is more than willing to discuss either one with you. Email
Children’s Ministry Pastor Stacie Mayes
Stacie Mayes and her family are new to the Valley. Stacie was born in Oklahoma. She and her husband have been married for 26 years and have four children. Stacie has an MBA with an emphasis in Accounting. Her passion for children led her away from the accounting world and landed her in a position at her church as the Associate Children’s Pastor. Prior to working at the church, Stacie served as a volunteer for twelve years. Her favorite aspect of working with children is being able to be “Jesus with skin on” for the children she come in contact with. She loves leading worship with children and watching them humbly worship our Creator! Another one of Stacie’s favorite aspects of Children’s Ministry, is teaching children to serve in the church and in their communities. “It is much easier to teach them to have a heart for service when they are young.

Anna Rose Jones
Annie was born in San Clemente, California, 23 years ago. At the age of 2, Annie moved to New Castle, Colorado with her family of 7 siblings and her parents. Annie spent the majority of her growing up years as a pastors’ daughter in New Castle, then made the move to China in 2010 with her family, where her Dad was the pastor at an international church.
Annie has since moved back to the Roaring Fork Valley after three years in China, and did a two year degree at Colorado Mountain College. During this time she started singing at Orchard with Jerry Alcorta and Kara Montie and 5 and a half years later, she’s still here.
Now, she lives in Basalt and works full time as administrative and ministry support, and hopes to continue to learn more about the ins and outs of ministry!
Jesse has lived in the valley since 2015 and has attended The Orchard since 2016. He has been very involved in the youth ministry at the Orchard.
He now lives in Gypsum with his wife Ruth and daughter Elizabeth. Jesse also has 3 adult children. He has a strong history in foster care since accepting Jesus Christ in 1997, helping to run the “Catherine Hemingway Home” dedicated to young ladies in the foster care system that had suffered extreme cases of abuse. He is looking forward to the next chapter in my life as the youth pastor.
