Day 3 — Feasting On What We Didn't Earn
Day 3: Feasting on What We Didn’t Earn
2 Kings 7:8 8 When the men with leprosy arrived at the edge of the camp, they went into one tent after another, eating and drinking wine; and they carried off silver and gold and clothing and hid it.
Psalm 34:8 Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.
The men eat, drink, and take what they need. They are finally full. And for a moment, everything is right.
This is the experience of salvation. Not just forgiveness, but fullness. Peace where there was anxiety. Hope where there was fear. Purpose where there was emptiness.
But here’s the subtle danger: when we get full, we can forget what it felt like to be starving.
The invitation today is not just to remember the gift—but to savor it again.
Ask yourself:
Where have I become familiar with what should still feel like a gift?
What has Jesus done in my life that I haven’t paused to truly appreciate?
Today’s Step: Take 2 minutes and thank God specifically for what He has done in your life—be detailed, not general.
Prayer: Jesus, thank You for filling me with what I could never earn. Help me never lose the wonder of what You’ve done for me. Amen.
