At The Orchard we think students are just THE BEST, and so very important to the family of God! We want to partner with you and your student to bring joy, fun, meaning, and a strong sense of identity in Christ to these vital years. The Orchard partners with our local Youth For Christ student ministry to provide leadership to our Middle school and High School ministries.
Student Update from Vinnie (2.25.26)
Hi Orchard Student Families,
If you don't know me already, my name is Vinnie Cooper, the Youth Pastor for Orchard Students. First and foremost, I want to thank you for the opportunity and the privilege to speak into your kids' lives about God and the Bible. Without your willingness and sacrifice, none of this would be possible and I am forever grateful.
Secondly, in terms of the structure of the Monday (High School) and Wednesday (Middle School) nights, both gatherings are 1hr and 30min long. High School is 7:00-8:30pm and Middle School is 6:00-7:30pm. Both involve 15-20 minutes of food/hanging out in the lobby, ice breaker activity, 15 minute dynamic teaching session, 15-20 break out discussion groups/prayer, and finish with a game.
We are currently wrapping up our, "Under Pressure" series learning about life pressures (grades, expectations, responsibilities etc.) and how to walk with God through them. This week's main point is that "God is present, in the pressure and with you". I will keep you updated with more upcoming series as well. It was an incredible moment last week when about 20 Middle School students were actively singing, "Reckless Love" while being led by one of their own students on guitar. God is doing something special at The Orchard.
Orchard Students vision is to see all students made alive in Christ, whether they are actively following Jesus, curious about the faith and or just simply here to build friendships and community. All are welcome as they are and invited into the Kingdom of God.
Lastly, this next upcoming Monday the 2nd of March, High School youth will be cancelled as there is no school for most students in the valley.
If you have any questions or want to connect to learn more and or get involved with students, email me at youth@theorchardlife.com.
Thank you and God Bless,
YP Vinnie
