Day 4 — Raised to Walk in New Life
Day 4 — Raised to Walk in New Life
Read: Romans 6:4–11; 2 Corinthians 5:17
We were buried with Christ through baptism into death so that, just as Christ was raised from the dead, we too may walk in new life. Count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus. If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come.
Easter is not only about forgiveness. It is about new life. The Father does not merely drag the prodigal back into the house and say, “Try not to embarrass me again.” He restores him. He covers him. He receives him. In Christ, the believer is not only pardoned; the believer is made new.
That means your identity is no longer built around your worst moment, your greatest failure, your old pattern, or the far country where you wandered. Resurrection means the old story does not get the final word. Jesus does.
This does not mean you never struggle. It means struggle is no longer your master. Shame is no longer your name. Sin is no longer your identity. Because Jesus rose, you are not just a forgiven version of the old you. You are a new creation being shaped into the likeness of Christ.
Reflect:
Jesus, thank You that You did not only forgive me — You made me new. Help me leave the grave clothes behind and walk in the life You purchased for me. In Your name, amen.

Reflect:
- What old label or identity do I still carry that Jesus wants me to leave behind?
- Where do I need to stop saying “That’s just who I am”?
- What would it look like today to actually walk in resurrection life?
Jesus, thank You that You did not only forgive me — You made me new. Help me leave the grave clothes behind and walk in the life You purchased for me. In Your name, amen.
