Day 1 — You Are More Than Your Worst Moment
Day 1 — You Are More Than Your Worst Moment
Read: John 20:24–25, John 11:16
Thomas is remembered for one moment: doubt.
But that was not the whole story.
Before Thomas was ever Doubting Thomas, he was devoted Thomas.
He was loyal.
He was courageous.
He loved Jesus deeply.
A lot of us know what it feels like to be reduced to one moment.
One mistake.
One failure.
One bad season.
One label.
But Jesus does not define you by your weakest day.
He sees the whole story.
He sees your heart.
He sees what others miss.
Today, let this sink in: your worst moment is not the truest thing about you.
Jesus knows your failures, but He also knows your devotion, your struggle, your pain, and your desire to keep following Him.
Reflect:
What moment, mistake, or label have you let define you?
How do you think Jesus sees you differently than you see yourself?
Pray:
Jesus, thank You that You do not reduce me to my worst moment.
Help me see myself through Your grace and truth.
Remind me that one weak chapter is not the whole story of my life.
Amen.
Practice:
Write down one label you have carried.
Then write this truth over it:
Jesus knows the whole story.
