Day 3 — Show Up
Day 3 — Show Up
Read: John 20:26, Psalm 42:11
“A week later… Thomas was with them.”
That is one of the most powerful lines in the story.
Thomas still had questions.
Thomas still had not seen Jesus.
Thomas was still confused.
But Thomas showed up.
That is often what faith looks like before breakthrough.
You show up.
You pray when you do not feel much.
You come to church when your heart feels heavy.
You open your Bible when your mind is restless.
You stay in community when isolation sounds easier.
Showing up does not mean you have it all figured out.
It means you are still open.
It means that somewhere inside, even if faintly, your heart is saying, “I want to believe.”
God often meets people who keep showing up.
Reflect:
Where have you been tempted to pull back?
What would “showing up” look like for you right now?
Pray:
Lord, when I am confused, disappointed, or tired, help me keep showing up.
Meet me in the places where I seek You, even when my faith feels fragile.
Amen.
Practice:
Take one concrete step today:
show up to prayer,
show up to Scripture,
show up to church,
or show up to an honest conversation you have been avoiding.
