Day 2 — Doubt Is Not the Same as Unbelief
Day 2 — Doubt Is Not the Same as Unbelief
Read: Mark 9:24, James 1:5
Doubt and unbelief are not the same thing.
Unbelief says, “I will not believe.”
Doubt says, “I’m struggling to believe.”
That difference matters.
Some people carry guilt because they have questions.
They think real Christians never wrestle.
But the Bible tells a different story.
Again and again, God meets people in the middle of their questions and invites them to trust Him.
Doubt is not always rebellion.
Sometimes it is pain looking for understanding.
Sometimes it is faith trying to breathe under pressure.
Sometimes it is what happens when what you believed about God collides with what life delivered.
You do not need to hide your questions from God.
He is not threatened by them.
He is not irritated by your wrestling.
He welcomes honesty.
Reflect:
What question, fear, or disappointment have you been hesitant to bring to God?
Have you been treating doubt like a failure instead of a place where faith can grow?
Pray:
God, I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief.
Give me courage to bring You my real questions.
Help me trust that You are not afraid of what I am carrying.
Amen.
Practice:
Name one honest question you need to bring into the light.
Say it plainly to God today.
