Day 4 — Jesus Meets Honest Doubt
Day 4 — Jesus Meets Honest Doubt
Read: John 20:27–28, Hebrews 4:15–16
When Jesus appeared to Thomas, He did not shame him.
He did not compare him to the others.
He did not lecture him.
He met him.
That matters.
Jesus does not humiliate people for struggling.
He does not push away the wounded.
He moves toward them.
Thomas brought pain, confusion, and doubt into the room.
And Jesus met him right at the place where his faith had come off the rails.
That is still who Jesus is.
He meets people in grief.
He meets people in questions.
He meets people in disappointment.
He meets people in the very place where they thought they had fallen too far.
And Thomas answered with one of the most personal confessions in Scripture:
“My Lord and my God!”
Doubt was not the end of Thomas’s story.
Jesus was.
Reflect:
Where do you most need Jesus to meet you right now?
What would it look like to stop hiding and let Him meet you there?
Pray:
Jesus, thank You that You do not shame honest doubt.
Meet me in the places where I am wounded, confused, and weak.
Bring me to a deeper, more personal trust in You.
Amen.
Practice:
Tell Jesus plainly where your faith feels shaky.
Do not clean it up.
Be honest.
