Follow Me: Day 5
Follow Me: Day 5
Key Verse:
“Then he said to him, ‘Follow me!’” — John 21:19
These are the words Peter thought he had lost the right to hear. But Jesus says them anyway: “Follow me.” Peter’s failure was real, but it was not final. Jesus did not just forgive Peter. He gave him a future. That is still what Jesus does. He still calls wounded people, ashamed people, tired people, and people who thought their story was over.
Questions:
What is Jesus asking me to leave behind?
What is one clear way I can follow him today?
What would change if I truly believed Jesus has not changed his mind about me?
Takeaway:
Jesus’ final word over your life does not have to be shame. It can be calling.
Prayer:
Jesus, thank you that you still say, “Follow me.” Give me courage to leave the boat and take my next step with you.
