Restored at the Wound: Day 4
Restored at the Wound: Day 4
Key Verse:
“A third time he said to him, ‘Simon son of John, do you love me?’” — John 21:17
Three times Peter denied Jesus. Three times Jesus asks Peter, “Do you love me?” Jesus is not shaming Peter. He is restoring him. Real grace does not ignore the wound. It goes there. It touches it. It heals it. Jesus does not reopen Peter’s failure to condemn him, but to pull the poison out. And every time Peter answers, Jesus gives him purpose.
Questions:
What wound, failure, or regret still tries to define me?
Do I believe Jesus can restore me, not just forgive me?
Where do I need to hear, “I am not done with you”?
Takeaway:
Your worst moment does not have to become your final identity.
Prayer:
Jesus, thank you that you do not shame me at the place of my failure. Restore what shame has tried to bury.
