Grace Before Assignment: Day 3
Grace Before Assignment: Day 3
Key Verse:
“When they landed, they saw a fire of burning coals there with fish on it, and some bread.” — John 21:9
When Peter reaches shore, Jesus already has breakfast ready. That matters. Jesus does not need Peter to prove himself. He does not need Peter’s fish. Before Jesus says a hard word, he feeds Peter. Before the assignment comes, grace comes. Jesus meets Peter with kindness before he restores him with calling. He does the same with us.
Questions:
Do I tend to believe I have to prove myself to God?
Where do I need grace before I need fixing?
What does it mean to me that Jesus feeds Peter before he speaks to Peter?
Takeaway:
Jesus meets us with grace before he calls us forward.
Prayer:
Jesus, thank you that you do not demand performance before giving grace. Feed my heart with your kindness today.
