Day 2: The Weight No One Sees
Day 2: The Weight No One Sees
Read: 1 Peter 5:7
Some burdens are obvious. Everyone can see them.
But many of the heaviest burdens are invisible.
Jesus says, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened.”
Burdened means something is weighing down on you. It is not just tiredness inside you. It is weight on you.
And here is the good news: Jesus does not shame you for the weight. He invites you to bring it to Him.
But Jesus is not asking you to manage the burden better.
He is inviting you to bring it to Him.
Not because you impressed Him.
Because He cares for you.
That means your burden matters to God.
Ask yourself:
What burden am I carrying that most people do not see?
Have I been bringing this honestly to Jesus, or have I been managing it alone?
What would it look like to cast this burden on Him today?
Prayer:
Jesus, You know what I am carrying. You see the weight no one else sees. I do not want to just manage my burden. I want to bring it to You. Help me trust that You care for me. Amen.
Today’s step:
Write down one burden you have been carrying. Then pray over it honestly, using real words, not polished ones.
Read: 1 Peter 5:7
Some burdens are obvious. Everyone can see them.
But many of the heaviest burdens are invisible.
- The pressure to keep everyone okay.
The grief you do not talk about.
The worry over your child.
The tension in a relationship.
The secret you are tired of carrying.
The regret that keeps replaying.
The bitterness that sits under the surface.
Jesus says, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened.”
Burdened means something is weighing down on you. It is not just tiredness inside you. It is weight on you.
And here is the good news: Jesus does not shame you for the weight. He invites you to bring it to Him.
- That is harder than it sounds.
But Jesus is not asking you to manage the burden better.
He is inviting you to bring it to Him.
- 1 Peter 5:7 says to cast your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.
Not because you impressed Him.
Because He cares for you.
That means your burden matters to God.
