Day 1: God Wants to Be Known

Day 1: God Wants to Be Known
READ: Exodus 3:1-6

TODAY’S TRUTH
Yahweh knows your name before you know what to call Him.

Moses was in the wilderness when God met him. He was not in a palace. He was not in a church service. He was not having a great spiritual moment. He was tending sheep.
That matters because many of us assume God only meets people when life feels impressive, organized, clean, and spiritual. But Moses meets Yahweh in a hidden season. A wilderness season. A season where he may have wondered if the best part of his life was behind him.
God does not begin with a lecture. He does not begin with shame. He does not begin by reminding Moses of everything he had done wrong. God calls his name.
“Moses! Moses!”
Before Moses knows God’s name, God knows Moses’ name. That is where this week begins. Yahweh is not a distant idea. He is the God who comes near. He wants to be known. And He knows you before you even know how to respond to Him.
Today, do not begin with everything you need to fix. Begin with the God who knows your name.
REFLECT
Where do you feel hidden, forgotten, or overlooked right now?

PRAY
Yahweh, meet me in the real place I am today. Not the version of me I wish I was. Not the version I show everyone else. Call me close, and help me know You as You truly are. Amen.
