Day 4: Restoration Begins with Love
Day 4: Restoration Begins with Love
Scripture
John 21:15
"Simon son of John, do you love me more than these?"
Reflection
Jesus could have started with Peter's failure.
Instead, He started with Peter's heart.
Three times Peter denied Jesus.
Three times Jesus invited Peter to reaffirm his love.
Notice what Jesus doesn't ask:
"Peter, why did you fail?"
"Peter, why weren't you stronger?"
"Peter, how could you do that to Me?"
Instead, Jesus asks:
"Do you love Me?"
Restoration begins when we stop focusing on our failures and start focusing on our relationship with Jesus.
Before Jesus talks about ministry, leadership, or purpose, He talks about love.
Because our calling flows from our relationship with Him.
Questions
Jesus, thank You that my failures are not the end of my story. Draw me back to You and deepen my love for You today. Amen.

Questions
- If Jesus asked me, "Do you love Me?" how would I answer?
- Have I been defining myself by failure instead of grace?
- How is Jesus inviting me back into relationship with Him?
Jesus, thank You that my failures are not the end of my story. Draw me back to You and deepen my love for You today. Amen.
