John 21:15-17
"Feed my sheep."
Reflection
Jesus didn't just forgive Peter.
He recommissioned him.
Peter thought his story was over. Jesus said it was just beginning.
The same man who denied Jesus would become a leader in the early church.
The same man who failed would help others follow Christ.
This is what restoration does.
Jesus doesn't merely bring us back to where we were. He moves us forward into who He created us to be.
Many people believe God can forgive them.
Fewer believe God can still use them.
Peter's story reminds us that God's grace is bigger than our worst moment.
Your failure is not your identity.
Your past is not your future.
Jesus restores people so they can participate in His mission.
Questions
Jesus, thank You for restoring and using imperfect people. Help me move forward in faith and step into the purpose You have for me. Amen.
