Day 3 — Saved but Not Finished

Day 3 — Saved but Not Finished
Read: Philippians 3:10–12
  • 10 I want to know Christ and experience the mighty power that raised him from the dead. I want to suffer with him, sharing in his death, 11 so that one way or another I will experience the resurrection from the dead!
  • 12 I don’t mean to say that I have already achieved these things or that I have already reached perfection. But I press on to possess that perfection for which Christ Jesus first possessed me.
Questions:
  • Paul says his ultimate goal is to “know Christ” and experience Him. If my life adjusted to this goal, how would my life be different?
  • What keeps me from making “knowing Jesus” my ultimate goal?
  • What can I do this week to begin living this truth?

Additional Scripture: James 2:17
  • 17 So you see, faith by itself isn’t enough. Unless it produces good deeds, it is dead and useless.
Questions:
  • Apathy can make us coast spiritually. Paul says our salvation should produce fruit and good deeds or it is dead and useless. How has spiritual apathy lulled you into coasting?
  • Pursuing Jesus produces fruit and good deeds, how can you begin to live this verse?

Prayer
God, rescue me from both pressure and passivity.
Give me grace-fueled hunger to keep following You. Amen.
